The Spice Girls were an English pop girl group formed in 1994. The group originally consisted of Melanie Brown or Mel B ("Scary Spice"), Melanie Chisholm or Mel C("Sporty Spice"), Emma Bunton ("Baby Spice"), Geri Halliwell ("Ginger Spice"), and Victoria Beckham, née Adams ("Posh Spice"). Their most famous and successful single is        "Wannabe".  In December 2000, the group unofficially announced that they were beginning an indefinite hiatus and would be concentrating on their solo careers in regards to their foreseeable future, although they pointed out that the group was not splitting. Return of the Spice Girls was in 2007, but on 1st February 2008, it was announced that due to personal and family commitments their tour would come to an end in Toronto.  The group reunited once again in 2012 just for Summer Olympics closing ceremony.
